PORTFOLIO ~ Student Work
Marilena built movie sets and made films with elementary students in Special Education for ten years. She created the Film Festival from MARS in 2016 to showcase student films. The Film Festival From MARS project won a Renée Fleming Neuroarts Investigator Award from the NueroArts Blueprint Initiative, in April 2026 and a Citizen’s Committee for NYC grant in 2018. Marilena now teaches workshops for therapists and educators on integrating the arts into their work with children.
